i've only ever had one problem while djing inover two years of using a PB G4.

When I was using vinyl I noticed that when I placed an Echo effect on the efx 500 or no then 1000 I got terrible feedback. So about a year ago I was putting the same effect on a breakdown playing from my G4 with the G4 ...

I use cd spin doctor 2 which I think comes with roxio toast, the track markings can be put it with no clicks or pops at all which is what used to happen when I tried Bias Peak.

I also find that postioning your track markings very easy and quick and then I just send the audio file to Toast and start ...

I have a nice chunky kick which sounds fine in the intro and outro but gets lost in the middle when combined with the synths, I want to make it punch through, is sidechaining compression the answer? does anyone recommend a good one for Ableton? I was looking at Quantum FX Sidedyn

i just use a low pass and high pass filter over four channels and three return tracks with suppatrigga, simple delat and a ping pong delay. I have Compressor 2 set as a limiter on the master

I had my crash ever when djing with Live yesterday, I wasn't playing in a club I was just trying out some loops, the cpu was only at 15% and then I loaded in a MP3 that have been warped and decoded and it just locked up and bang! shutdown and then the usual do you want to send a bug report to Apple ...

sorry I should have been clearer. I need to convert them to a ".ram" file so they can stream on the Real Audio player on my site

I know this is a bit off Abelton sublect matter but I've spent the last four hours trying out different software in an atempt to convert my dj mixes from Mp3 or wav to a ram file so that I can upload it onto my new site.

Switch is a nice interface allowing you to drag and drop but it only converts ...

the isotope bundle has Ozone 3, Trash and another plug in from Isotope, it's 420 euro whereas the Liquid mix is 749.

cheers for your reply roach 808, sorry to be a pain but could you expand on how you use Liquid mix within Live?

do you use it on each channel or just the master and do you use it alongside any other devices(eg. eq8)?

I've been trying out the demo fo Isotope Ozone 3 over the last few days and I am pretty pleased with the results. Just using the some of the presets seems to give a nice punchy limited sound.

I've had a chance to try out Liquid mix with it's interface and so far I can't seem to feel the benefit ad ...

does anyone have any good electro lead patches to share? I still can't get the sound I want. I'm using operator, reason and KOrg Legacy collection

i had some conflict on my trigger finger with my G4 powerbook so I downloaded enigma and re mapped it that way and now it's fine. this might solve your problem

I can't comment which is better but one thing I'm sure of is that before I got my G4 powerbook I wasn't really into computers(I just used e mail, excel, shopped a bit on line and that's it) BUT now I have G5 desktop with 4GB of ram and a 500 gig hd and it works so well with ABleton and Reason, I can ...
