I'm considering adding a Push 2 to my setup, purely for its control over Live's devices. I already have a NI s49 mkII keyboard which I love.
How do you think an Ableton Controller with Push 2's functionality but without the pads would sell?

While we're at it they may as well bring over the Stretch function from Impulse and integrate it into Sampler and Drum Racks.

Oh a creative issue.
I'd export the sound you like and bring it back into Live in Impulse and use the stretch knob to see if you can make it fit. Of course this is going to alter the sound somewhat...but that's sound design for you.

Is it possible to configure Max to automate 3rd party VST parameters via an envelope of LFO?
For that matter, being able to give Operator access to more LFOs would be dreamy as well...

It certainly should be possible. When you select a parameter from a vst to automate, Live doesn't restrict you to 127 steps.
