Well, my job is not music related, but music is definately not "my hobby".

I use Ozone, it's got some really nice features, I especially like the 'snapshot' option in the EQ window. It's got a great interface and can produce really impressive results... also the way you can save and manage your prestes is really usefull... it gets a big thumbs up from me.

All the plug-ins i mentioned are $149 plug-ins.

currently I'm using tannoy reveals, they are fine, but I'm about to move house and my new room is a little on the small side (it's tiny, but the house is right in the centre of town and really nice... :) )...

so the problem is, the tannoys are rear ported and very deep, so no good on a shelf, so I ...

I got a sampler CD about 6 or 7 year ago that had a Olivia Tremmor Control track on called 'motor cycle rider', it also had 'oh comely' by neutral milk hotel, I've loved both bands since then... it's good good music people, and good good music is what we live for...

It's not a VA, but if you want a gritty synth for £200ish then you could check out the Yamaha DX-200... although the on board sequencer is a bit limited at 16 steps and I wouldn't rate the drum sounds, it is AWESOME as a sound module, really fu*king ...

Sennheiser HD600

quite simply the best headphones I've ever heared. incredable seperation, detail and full bass, they are great. I also like some of the Grado headphones, they are very musical, but for making tracks on the sennheisers present much more detail...
