Re: Best synth for bass bases ?
if you are talking about the actual sub (40-60 hz), very common in dnb and substep, it doesnt really matter wich synth u use honestly as long as it has a couple of sine wave oscillators and some kind of pitch modulation control.imo the most important thing for a sub to come out in a mix is to give i...

http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=108587 i remember i pointed out some PDC related problems two years ago, mainly the gui being totally out of sync with the audio out, think it was my first post on the forum actually, but got no real answer on why and what caused this problem, i had t...

Re: XRack(summing and Gbus) vs Ableton and The Glue
the main difference is pretty evident on the bass imo (the sub movement and the way the kick gets in and release)
and also the clap snare on test 2 sounds a bit more pumping than on test 1, you can hear some more evident volume changes (the second snare of the bar comes out louder)

Re: XRack(summing and Gbus) vs Ableton and The Glue
listenin on headphones
personally i prefer test1 over test2
the dynamics (especially of the bass) sound less squashed and more natural to me
but honestly i cant tell wich is wich, i'd probably say 1=SSL 2=ableton but thats just speculation

Re: Drum and bass drum effects question
http://www.rhythm-lab.com/breakbeats-1 this is one of the best source for breaks around the net imo only original unprocessed funk/soul breaks slice them in your favourite sampler, layer them to your one shot samples and with some clever dynamic processing you should get close to an authentic dnb dr...

Re: Features you would like to see in Ableton 9?
improving stability of v.8 should of course be the first priority for the ableton team at this moment having said that..a few tweaks here and there to improve the workflow i'd like to see in the future (mostly daw-like features for me..sorry ) -splitting audio clips at transients (one clip per trans...

Re: LETS FACE IT LIVE 8 works alright these days on a Mac
well, yeah m4l could be one of the possible causes of instability but something tells me that the 'root of all evil' is actually the new warping method, since is probably one of the most significant changes from previous versions if you think about it i think i even read somewhere some time ago from...
