Oh I would love this as well - if there were a track in the arrangement view where you could specify which scene should be playing and for what duration. That would be very very rad. Then maybe you would need to have a toggle button to choose whether a track was arrangement only, scene/clip view ...

You can already route from each Chain in a Rack (including Drum Racks) to any Audio Track (or device with Sidechain Listen). With Pre FX, Post and Post Mixer for each Chain.
