Re: iPad - potential Jazzmutant Lemur killer?
iPhone apps run on the iPad and can be stretched to full screen so TouchOSC will work right away. It would be really nice if someone developed a way to transmit midi straight from the iPad via USB because I would rather just plug in then have to setup a wireless network.

Re: Allen & Heath Xone 62 integration with Ableton
Cant you just route the audio from your 62 back into ableton and record it from there? The 62 has a record output on the back, just send that back to the computer.

Re: Any form of Bus Channels?
mark the tracks you want as a group, rightclick the title and chose "group". then, fade on the group-master.
Live 8 only.
You could Inset a new audio track, Set its input to none. The activate "IN" on it.
Then route the output of all the tracks you need to to said track.

Re: Using buses to dj like Deadmau5?
Basically what I understand from the video is this....
#1. On the left site of his set he has 4 Audio Tracks. These 4 tracks represent the 4 channels on the 4D. They have their levels set to full so that the hardware in the 4D can do the mixing instead of using Ableton. These 4 audio tracks dont ...

Warping Vocals
Hi There,
Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice on warping vocals. Im djing with live and want to incorporate vocals from different sources in the mix (movies, other songs...). I have watched a couple videos but cannot seem to grasp the concept of warping a vocal part properly.

Re: Deadmau5 haters...
Like I said before, I understand people who don't like his music. There are lots of songs I don't like in the world, but it seems like people often confuse their dislike in his tracks, for his tracks being "mediocre".
Im curious to know why deadmau5 is successful. If his music is such garbage how ...

Re: Deadmau5 haters...
Normally when you don't like an artists music, you just don't listen to it. I find it odd that so many people get so worked up over him and actually seem to hate the guy and his music. Just because you don't like the tracks doesn't make the music bad, doesn't make him an ass, it just means that its ...

Beatmatching in live (not warping)
Hey There,
Is it possible to actually beat match in live? What I mean is turn off the quantization and just launch clips on your own and change pitch to line the 2 clips up then mix them in. It would be cool to emulate how turntables work. I know how to warp and all that, I was just curious if you ...

Re: Require warping help
Where you mentioned the BPM changing from 127 to 127.01, I am assuming that is per the clip your are playing, not the global BPM right?
The global BPM (top left of screen) is the speed at which your clips will play (unless you turned warping off for that clip).
Generally I dont do anything to the ...

Sorry, you are right, I did mean to be more clear and say you only need to have 2 STEREO outputs (unless you are fine using mono).

Re: Djing in Ableton Live Noob. Please Help.
Hey,
First off, you shouldn't need 4 output to cue. You can cue with only 2 channels. 1 Channel master out and the other for cueing, but anyways, the main point about cueing. In Live you don't cue the same way that you would DJing with turntables. Do some research on Warping in Ableton Live ...
