Which version of Live 8 have you tried it with ? I've got it going with 8.1.4. I'm wary of saying that it's 100% stable since I've only used it for an hour or so, but so far it's been fine. Otherwise, it implies it's an issue with Vista. Have you sent Ableton the crash reports ?

Wrong. Sorry! Give me a link if it's really true! That's the turbo boost speed as far as google told me, and it's only 1.6GHz per core if using it multicore (which you would using ableton). I'd like to be wrong, but as said above, there is no such quad-core notebook processor running at that speed....

Also, I should just add that there is a probably a psychological factor whereby mac fans will be much less critical of their machines when they *do* go wrong, as to do so would be tantamount to admitting that they have made the wrong decision and spent much more than they needed to. I've just never had to export one track into another set before, so it's never been an issue. I've only recently starting playing with Ableton properly.

Does anyone know if there's a way to export an audio track (or a midi track) from one set to another, while keeping the various devices/effects associated with it ?
