Re: electrix filterqueen
Sarrova-Q, lucky lucky you. Yeah if your unit still works why in the world would you sell it? That was the point. If someone is trying to part with it, I would be suspicious that's all. Like I said, it's good at what it does when it does it. I've had the unit for about 8 years and got about 5 good ...

Re: electrix filterqueen
Using the MF-101 for Production - yes. DJ - no. Not saying you can't, I'm just not a dj.
What I'm really saying is the filterqueen is unreliable and lacks a certain warmth. Sometimes your levels will be ok, sometimes you will power up the unit and everything is thru the roof and the rig is useless ...

Re: electrix filterqueen
I've had one for years and it's a really unreliable piece of gear. Sometimes the line in will randomly becomes too hot. Sometimes the signal in gets over amplified before the output and overdrives everything. Google the Filterqueen and you should come across several complaints about this. Though it ...

Re: Lexicon Omega and sound card question
As long as you tell Live to use the Omega, everything will be processed through the Lexicon unit. Options>Preferences>Audio>Audio Device and selecting the Omega will ensure this.

Re: [OT] Der Himmel über Berlin / Wings of Desire (1987)
Given the current level of human dissoultion into tech i think Until the End of the World is a very relevant Wenders flick to watch. Haven't been able to find it on dvd. Haven't watched it since the vcr died about a decade ago...still own copy on vhs. Soundtrack is quite soul wracking as well.

Re: midi to guitar tabs
PowerTab will do it. It's free but PC only. It will automatically section out the various midi tracks and let you select which ones to transcribe into tab format. Works for guitar and bass, and has built in midi playback. However its a very automatic process and sometimes the results it comes up ...

Re: http://www.thomann.de/de/lexicon_alpha_studio.htm
No idea how it works for djing. There's two RCA outs and two 1/4" line outs. But the OEM drivers and Live don't get along (seems to be a problem with every Lexicon A/D. Very unstable and you need to use ASIO4ALL to get any reliability.

Re: Lexicon I-onix FW
I don't have the Onix, but I have been 'using' another Lexicon audio interface and have the same problem with the driver. You're right, when the things work they work well. But after about 20 minutes the driver locks and the audio drops out. You can reset the driver, that'll keep you going for ...

Re: Oxygen8v2 Octave Up/Down causes unwanted parameter changes
This happens on any set. As you requested I am sending an als file to ableton support. I opened a fresh project, loaded up Analog, Collision, Electric, and Tension without preset selections. Then one at a time I armed each midi track, pressed the Octave +/- on the controller and the unwanted ...

Re: [amo]Tension - Filter Freq drops on Oxygen8v2 octave change
Sorry for delay in posting a reply. I just started a new thread explaining the behavior as it seems to affect all AAS instruments in some way. I would think it's the way that the controller delivers the octave change command.

Oxygen8v2 Octave Up/Down causes unwanted parameter changes
This applies only to AAS instruments and Live 8.01
When changing the octave from the controller, the volume on all AAS Suite Instruments (except Collision) will drop to -42db or -44db on the master instrument volume. At the same time another instrument-dependent parameter will change.

Re: Where is my upgrade option?
It's all good. Hold tight. I upgraded from L7 to L7 Suite after Jan. 15th and as promised now rock the L8 upgrade for $0. As soon as the forum lit up with the L8 release, I went ahead logged in, went to Upgrades, selected the License with the $0 upgrade dowload option and down cames the 390MB ...

Re: Korg nano coupon for Live 7 -> 8 upgrade?
Not sure if it would work automatically. You could try of course. But it's definitely worth sending an e-mail to ableton with the coupon code you have and they may issue a new code good for the upgrade while cancelling the old one. Might take em a bit to get back to you as they are probably swamped ...

Re: [amo] Vocoder - Self-Vocoding Oddness
Just checked it out with 8.0b26 and would have to say the issue appears to have been resolved. The behavior seemed to come from rapidly adjusting the Depth from 200% to zero. This immediately accentuates the line level noise, which seems expected and normal but does not spike how it did previously ...

[amo]Tension - Filter Freq drops on Oxygen8v2 octave change
While playing any Tension preset that utilizes the Filter, when Oxygen8v2 sends an octave down change command (via octave up/down buttons on controller) Filter frequency will bottom out to 53Hz. This occurs on all selectable filter types unless preset frequency parameter is below 53Hz. [8.0b26]
