a combination of saturator and eq may do it
set the eq to cut (aprox.) below 300hz and cut above 3000hz
that and a little drive on the saturator
you may also want to try some reverb
and/or changing the order of effects(like put the saturator before or after the eq/reverb)
(instead of saturator you ...

if its midi ,then pitchbend is recorded into the clip itself
so, to edit the pitchbend:
-select the midi clip
-then in clipview,click on the little E ,then click on pitchbend

(i must have tried any cc value option there was)

i found out how to switch to all 8 banks with my nanokontrol

you have to press bank down and hold it then press bank up...then it will switch from bank1 to bank2

and you can switch from bank 8 to 7 by: pressing ...

I'm at the wtf stage with banks in Live, can't figure out if I don't understand the concept or if I don't notice the profound change that occurs when I shift up a bank.


i got this working....but:it seems to skip a bank
an easy way to check this is with the impulse-device
turn knob 1...it ...

it should be any visible part of the ableton aplication-when running:)

create a midi track
drop a drumrack on it
drop a sampler/simpler on one of the pads
make any settings you want(macros etc.)
drag drumrack into default slicing folder

i would just render at 96kHz/32bit...then convert to 44.1kHz/16bit with an external audio editor
audacity is a nice freeware audio app that does this fine
just make sure you normalise before converting, so you get as much signal as possible

maybe try the following:
turn warp off on the vocals
then play it soloed
tap along on the tap tempo
then when youve found the right tempo for the vocal
turn warp on again(it should then warp to its correct bpm)
then set the master tempo back to where you want it(87/174bpm)

i had the same problem(unable to map/automate controllers on some vsts)
what fixed it for me was to edit the "options.txt"
and paste in the followining line:
-NoVstGesturesRequired

on vista options.txt is located:C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\Live 8.0.4\Preferences
on xp it may be ...

Why is this?

simpler/sampler dont do timstretching
or you may have some warp markers off
and/or youve used the wrong slicing-preset

you could consolidate and then slice(maybe after correcting the markers)
then the timestretching is ëmbedded into your slices(should surely work then if th loop ...

i have neither ezplayer nor superior2..but assuming they are vsts:
you instal them into your your vst-folder
then in lives preferences you point live to this vst-folder

as for making mp3s...render it as a .wav then convert it to an mp3 in a external audio-editor

(google:audacity for a freeware ...

they should just give it to all the early adopters of 8.0.1 for the botched release
