Audio drop outs in Monterey 12.1 (and 12.2). New MacBook M1 Pro.
I only get the odd drop out, so not happening all of the time. Just enough to annoy though.

Re: Push 2 black screen
Hope. Black screen still happening. Tried turning off and on, new cable, unplugging, preferences unlinking the device etc. All to no avail.
Really weird that it only affects some projects and sometimes completely goes away with the screen working again.

Re: Push 2 black screen
Thanks. Yes a while back and it was still giving the same problem. Could dig another one out and give it another try. Switching it off and on multiples times sometimes works, and has done so right now.... It never happens on new projects. Only on a select few and as I say intermittent. Which is why ...

Push 2 black screen
So, I've been using my Push 2 now for about 3 years and have an intermittent issue on some projects where the console screen fails to display anything. I had the problem from the outset, and I recall contacting Ableton Support who told me the usual 'never seen this before' and something along the li...

Push 2 display ongoing issue
Since purchasing Push 2 a few years back, the console has suffered from this intermittent problem (maybe 1-2 times per month) where the display disappears. All of the buttons are fine. It seems to happen half way through a project, when reopening the set. New Ableton sets are fine. As are other sets...

Set up an artist account on Bandcamp and bung them on there. With the additional benefit of getting some money for your efforts. Just link your profile from your various social media accounts.

Re: MacBook 16in Intel - Still worth buying?
Thanks. I guess the only concern is how long Ableton/NI etc continue to support the legacy Mac Intel chips from now on. If I get a few years out of it then I will be happy. I am also a bit nervous about jumping straight to the 1st gen MacBook models anyway, given some of the issues in the past with ...

MacBook 16in Intel - Still worth buying?
A minor panic attack on a purchase.... Just got a great deal on Amazon for an i9 MacBook Pro 16in, which was basically half price from their warehouse. I intend using the MacBook solely for Ableton with NI/Arturia plug-ins. All of which are obviously not supported as native on the M1s, but are throu...

Thanks. Wasn't sure whether I was missing something obvious, so good to know I haven't gone completely mad.

Ableton 11 on a MacBook Pro 15 2015
My iMac is rapidly coming to the end of its life and I have spotted a MacBook Pro 15 2015 2.8GHz for a decent price at a local shop. Given that we are still some way from the new Apple Silicon being up and running with Ableton, am I mad/crazy to even be considering a 2015 MacBook Pro? I would be pla...

Re: Save and overwrite rack/device/instrument without duplicating?
From the lack of responses I guess this can't be done? Without saving the modified device as a new device, and then deleting the previous iteration?

Save and overwrite rack/device/instrument without duplicating?
I have created an audio rack in Ableton, which I have saved as a new rack. If I want to modify this device, then how can I save and overwrite (update) without having to save as a new instance?

Re: Midi to multiple channels
Just to use slight variations of a chord via each of the arpeggiators, each of which will have slightly different note triggering, length etc. My current project has 6 midi channels in all (one for Wavetable and one for each of the arps): Wavetable with midi from Arp 1 Wavetable with midi from Arp 2...

Re: Midi to multiple channels
Thanks. If I set their midi input for each of the Arps in the example above to Wavetable, and click IN then nothing is happening.
The only way around this is to use multiple Wavetables, each set to a single Arpeggiator.

Midi to multiple channels
Hi. I would like to use a single midi instrument to trigger multiple arpeggiators, each of which are on separate midi channels. Is there a way of doing this using a single midi instrument? For example: Midi channel 1: Wavetable Midi channel 2: Arp 1 Midi channel 3: Arp 2 Midi channel 4: Arp 3 Thanks.
