It's the track that loads up first time you launch Ableton 10 Suite - don't know if it's also part of Standard.

It's simply called Demo.als.

Yeh, could be the boost kicking in and out, but even when it’s ‘in’ it’s running at higher cpus than my five year old Mac. Damn - I so want to leave Mac behind, but every time I try - something seems to crop up that makes me think again...

Thanks for your replies. Unfortunately it’s plugged in and power is set to maximum. The laptop even has a turbo button - which I’ve tried on and off. So it’s not that. And it’s been on the computer and used for several days, so indexing isn’t the issue either.

It's interesting I think that no mainstream solution exists. It isn't a one-off - I'm probably going to be doing a lot of this. It's for a sound installation project that I'm developing. Thanks loads for the replies. But 'merges' is correct - what I'm really hoping is that someone will point me towards software that extends what happens when you ask google a question on an Android handset. Google understands what you ask (mostly) and it displays your words as a waveform.

Just tried to update to Suite 8.0.8 directly from Ableton Live - instead of directing me to an 8.0.8 download, I was lead to a 8.0.9 download. Huh? Has this been announced? Where's the list of fixes?

Anyone here use a V-Synth/GT as a control surface for Live? Is it possible? The timetrip pad, knobs and faders on that machine would be a blast to use with Albeton - if it were possible.
