multiple APC40s / or an APC40 + an APC20
Hello out there,

I totally do want arbitrary control so i can stack them vertically and also move one around ...

Re: need follow actions help for cutting up breaks with clips
thanks, livecut is a good find. i already have many 'auto-glitch' plugins, but this one is very helpful. There are now so many ways to get these effects; livecut, effectrix, supa trigga, beat repeat, MFL: buffer shuffler, lucifer, artillery, buffer override > i guess it's just a matter of picking ...

Re: need follow actions help for cutting up breaks with clips
Perhaps I should re-phrase. If I set a clip as gate, can the act of letting go ( note off ) serve as a signal to start a follow action

need follow actions help for cutting up breaks with clips
Hello,
i need advise on follow actions for cutting up breaks in live's session view.
all my drum clips are on one track in a stack.
i have a vanilla (unchanged 2-bar) breakbeat in clipslot one, and then I put a bunch of permutations of that break
below it. some will be short loops of the kick ...

Re: APC 40 FAQs, features and questions
I have a problem:
Open new set, drop some devices/instruments in use the Device navigation cursor keys to move between devices and control them, all is fine.
Open a saved set, moving between devices works HOWEVER, I still only control (and see feedback) for the first device in the track.

Re: APC 40 FAQs, features and questions
Holding down play and rec while powering up doesn't reinitialize the APC40 like it may for MPCs or some Alesis products, so don't use this as a troubleshooting step.
If you somehow you do start up the power while holding play and record buttons by accident - do not press the master button. Just ...

all of the hardware encoders are endless encoders
they way live handles them may be a different story (MIDI 1-128)- but the hardware is an endless encoder

Re: APC 40 FAQs, features and questions
after the update to 8.04 the APC40 always changes the "Track Selection" to the Master after starting a scene with "Scene Launch"
anyone an idea how to change that to the behaviour of the older 8.02 version, where the track selection stays the same after launching a scene?
i normaly navigate ...

this may help some people having trouble with the APC40 device not showing up.
If you have or have ever had a logitech or labtech web cam you may have an extra file associated with USB AUDIO CODEC.

Re: 2 akai apc40
you can use 2 apc40s as apc40s
you can use up to 6 apc40s at once
not sure about 1 apc40 as normal working apc40 alongside an apc40 rigged as a monome
i don't think it would be an issue but i havn't tried it.

Re: make the apc show the track that is playing.
confirmed, this is fixed in 8.0.4.
awesome!
is a this behavior going to work like this in 7, and/ or 7 APC edition w/ a future update as well, or will those users need to upgrade to 8?

sorry to be minimal - i agree with you that select on launch isn't working by default with the APC40.
but you described this thread as 'make the apc show the track that is playing.' which is a fine way to word it, i was just meaning that this could thread could also be called - make select on ...
