Re: Need Monitor Purchase Advice
Try to compare different price levels at your local store. I'd advice you to compare the hs-50/80, adam a7/a8 and the genelecs 8030/8040. I personally believe saving for some months will repay you in some way. I did that and bought the 8040s, because in store they really showed me the difference bet...

How do you manage your projects?
I often end up having TONS of projects that have really crappy names, which renders me unable to know whats in there. Sometimes I try to clean up my library of projects by renaming them properly, although this takes craploads of time since you cant rename projects while they're open (Im on a PC), an...

Re: Rendering separate tracks at once
This is how you do it:
1. Export audio
2. Under rendered tracks choose "all tracks" instead of "master"

Worth the upgrade to RME Fireface?
Hey guys, I've been using a Focusrite Saffire LE for about three years, lately I've been having some clock instability problems which has resulted in audio hickups as well as a high-pitched noise coming out of my monitors non-stop. Apparently I need a new sound card and I've been considering the Saf...

Re: 64 bit soundcard
It is stated on Motu's website for the Ultralite Mk3 card that it works in both 32-bit and 64-bit environments:

So yes, you should be all fine.
Good luck

Most definately the operator. Bring a sine together with a saw (sometimes a sine is 'nuf), add some filter (if there's a saw), get the glide going and you're all set!

Re: sub-bass instrument?
The easiest way to do this would probably be to play the same bassline using the operators sine wave oscillator, then adjust the volume so that it sounds like it's part of the original!

Re: Solid State Drive vs 7200 rpm
The SSD really makes a big difference, but remember that when you have your library on an external drive the whole experience wont be faster than that external one. However, you can still put livesets on the ssd and everything will load super smooth.
