Re: "Video support" in Live 9/M4L?
Mr. Moneypenny, Thanks for the response. I have wondered if the codec makes a difference in giving smoother playback, as I've been downsampling in both size and quality to do so. Have you found any way to work with different and changing tempos across a longer video? The problem that I have is that,...

"Video support" in Live 9/M4L?
I have Live 8 without M4L, and I've been following the 9 announcements, trying to figure out what the heck will be in this release in terms of video support. I'm not interested in VJ'ing or mashing up videos or any other sort of effects animation for live performance purposes. I simply wanted Live 9...

Re: Any 8.1.5 experiences?
Contact tech support; I had a very good experience working out my problem directly with tech support. (Also, Ableton does not respond directly to bug reports unless they need clarification of some sort.)

Re: Any 8.1.5 experiences?
Rock Solid. I've been trying to crash it with huge sets and tons of plugins, and can't seem to make it go sideways (which is a happy moment after some serious problems with 8.1.3 and 8.1.4). Good luck to those of you still fighting through the issues (IK Multimedia plugs were a big problem for my co...

Re: LIVE 8 PERFORMANCE TEST - Results Here
Made the upgrade to 8.1.5 from 8.0.8, and after some headaches I've managed to get to a stable enough place to publish my new numbers. For those interested, I've included my 8.0.8 results in brackets after the 8.1.5 results: 1) Ableton Live CPU Meter: 17% [19%] 2) Computer type/model: custom PC 3) O...

Re: Crash fest with I.K. Multimedia sampled instruments. Help!
Thanks for following up: can I ask what version of Windows and Live you're using successfully? XP or 7? I assume you're on Live 8; if yes, the latest beta? Or are you using an earlier version?
Cheers,

Re: Crash fest with I.K. Multimedia sampled instruments. Help!
Unfortunately, the solution for now is to stop using IK Multimedia plugins with Live. Countless posts on this forum about their instability with Live. I hate it because I really miss the T-Racks singles in my projects, but I've communicated with support about the issue quite a bit and all they can o...

Re: Anyone successfully using T-Racks with 8.1.3 and Win7 x64?
Thanks for the website; that pretty much did the trick (you may want to inform Christian in tech support of this fix). What ultimately proved key was turning off the custom VST folder, browsing to the folder again, and rescanning. Then, all of the plugs appeared for me again. So, I'm all good now [e...

Forgot to mention that I tried that, starting the program as an administrator, with no luck.

Anyone successfully using T-Racks with 8.1.3 and Win7 x64?
If so, I'd love to know if you were able to see them instantaneously or if you had to do something to see them. I've just installed these on a new PC with Windows 7, and my IK Multimedia plugs aren't showing up when I hit the Plugins button in Live; however, they do show up in 8.0.8 strangely enough...

Re: LIVE 8 PERFORMANCE TEST - Results Here
Just got a new setup, had some curious results... 1) Ableton Live CPU Meter: 19% 2) Computer type/model: custom PC 3) Operating System: Windows 7 (x64) 4) Ableton Live version: 8.0.8 5) CPU Make, Model, and Speed: Core i7-860 6) Amount of Ram: 4GB 1600mHz 7) Soundcard: RME HDSP 9652 (latest driver) ...

Re: THE BIG USER REQUESTS TOPIC FOR LIVE9
Back for more! I'd love to be able to control parameters in a Rewired External Instrument (specifically one that is tied Reason since that's what I use most). Basically, I want to be able to send MIDI data from Live to Reason parameters without having to program each parameter in Reason. Think of it...

Re: Using Reason With Live?
Love them both, hate sequencing in Reason, so I Rewire into Live all the time for sequencing. I personally like a lot of the instruments in Reason better than those in Live, and I feel you have more minute control when creating/tweaking your instruments with the CV routings in Reason (and all those ...

Re: THE BIG USER REQUESTS TOPIC FOR LIVE9
Absolutely +1 the stability/performance request, though my machine is a little antiquated. I've been thinking about this clip automation aspect some more lately as I've been working, and I think the following are the keys for me: 1) Scaling/Stretching of automation: it would be great to have tools t...
