does anyone know of a way to sub divide a midi pattern (say in Impulse) at more than the Global time signature, ie. for double time hihats or for trills in riffs etc? They're just divided in ticks as far as I can see.

This is really cool for stereoizing mono drum loops too, I use two tracks, with EQs panning the hats (HIs) a bit to the left, the high mids (snares) a bit to the right. If you've just boosted these frequencies and the panning of both are equidistant, all the other frequencies will fall in the centre...

This is a royal pain in the ass, basically cos Impulse doesn't seem to be associating the warping of a loop at all when dragging a sample portion into it. one way around it is just fall short of the end of the portion you want, then drag it in, but for cleaner chops, chop the loop into its composite...

Yup, I'm interested to see what you don't like in the Impulse? Personally I think its wicked! Although it'd be great if it could warp loops to BPM automatically and you could choose for a sample not to decay at all.
