Re: Line 6 HD500 review

although lacking in some features, the HD300-500's sound great...i am very surprised at how expressive the basic amps sound.... many of the effects are overdone IMHO, and there is a limited number of amps ...but they really do sound great if you are into your guitar sound, you should check these amp...

Re: Beginner's thoughts on 64 bit/32 bit

i hope this helps if you are thinking about Daws/computer purchases in the near future... I'm not sure it does. What was the point of your post, anyway? That Sonar X1 is unstable right now? What does 64 bit/32 bit have to do with this? There are some 32 bit programs which are unstable and there are...

Re: Am I normal?

i would not change programs. i think if you can stay disciplined and learn one daw by experience, it makes things alot easier.. on the odd chance that you get something you really like going, you don't want to be figuring out new software...you probably know alot more about live than you think...and...

Beginner's thoughts on 64 bit/32 bit

Apologies if this is too long...just wanted to share my recent experience.. i upgraded my 5 yr old computer to and i7/64 bit computer...for the amount of money i spent, i was concerned about wasting money and feared live wouldn't really take advantage of it i was kind of obsessed with the 32 bit lim...

Re: Am I normal?

If you are just doing it for yourself, and more importantly by yourself...(like i usually do). you may find (like i did!) that it's alot of fricking work to do everything!!! So i usually spend an hour just making sounds, beats/guitars/synth arps and then look for loops to match... the best thing abo...

I am getting pretty quick snaps/pops/crackles after getting a new audio interface.. I'm playing with the buffers now to get it the way i need it..however, i noticed that the sample rate is 96000....i'm wondering how much that matters... i'd like have have cd quality audio and so I've read around and...

Re: Ableton Live 64-bit, when?

Gosh this all reminds me of when I had to configure my RAM everytime I wanted to play a different video game..hehe..yes i'm old... As of now, I'm wondering if I should upgrade to 64 bit or stay with current setup for a while and just live with running things like omnisphere in another host and...

Re: Ableton with Windows 7 64-bit. Does it work with it?

Spectrasonics Omnisphere and Trilian relies on plenty of RAM, so if you push it with several instances of the plugins, you are bound to go down. I mainly use Omnisphere/Trilian as my synth and Ableton Live 32 bit crashes on me several times every day if I don´t keep all synth tracks bounced to audi...

Upgrade FA66 to increase audio inputs

I reread my previous post and i think i buried my "lede" as they say...so here is my edited question.. What are my options to increase the audio inputs for my home studio? I currently have a firewire interface that has been very stable and very fast with Live and lots of other programs inc...

Re: Ableton Guitarists

As a guitarist, I am loving Ableton Live as my DAW.. and i'm learning more about it all the time.. I have a Firewire FA66 audio interface. I use a line 6 xt and i plug my guitar into that. and i send the the signal from that into my FA66's digital input. sometimes i also put a clean signal from the ...

Re: ugh...i messed up..do i have to reinstall??

Thnx so much. That worked Strangely..when i started live, my ASIO driver for my FA66 audio interface didnt load, and it said that my ASIO pod xt (podxt being the guitar amp i use) was not available and so it started without ASIO... i could see in a log i found that this was the problem...the thing i...
