Not really the same thing I don't think - the Mira app (from what I understand) renders the primitives itself on the iPad - thought I haven't checked this for some years. I don't think it's possible for it to render arbitrary bitmaps for instance, but I may be wrong as I said as I haven't ...

And no, p2d or such that claim to make it work are not a real solution, they just kill the push display process and then steal it, which crashes Live 30% of the time. Just no.

I'm considering working on a companion app, primarily for Push 3 standalone, in the new year which would run on an iPad with the 2 devices communcitating to provide a combined experience.

Has anyone tried mounting the drive inside P3 onto a linux machine and running Live from it?

Also, not going to try this until I've had chance to back up the disk, but has anyone tried getting sftp up and running?

Hi, not currently - I'm still trying to solve some issue with the latest betas. As you can imagine this is a moving target at the moment as Ableton are making changes also. It was working up to b2 but has since broken again.
