Re: Still OSX Lion problems after upgrade to 8.2.5

So what happens to you all when you try the built in audio? The same? I have been using live in lion (Live 8.2.7) and have not had any dropouts like you mention, but I have noticed that it does take some time when I hit "solo" on a track, before it actually solos it... At the request of Ableton sup...

Re: How can I make my buttons triggers instead of toggles?

HI djlegere, I just read thru this thread and you do pose a valid question, that is a basic hang up when I have tried to get fluid control of Live with some of my MIDI controllers. The lack of momentary switching on the host side is sometimes problematic. I setup a simple Bome's Translator to 'conve...

Hi DJSynchro, I did investigate a scripting hack, but I am hoping that the ABES will incorporate this to be more on par with the other major players in the DJ/DAW arena. It is getting old always having to manually open any/all of the plugin windows that I am using in a given Live set. I already have...

Hi ethios4,
I just asked the ABES as well, so I will post any info that I get.
I am pretty sure that this is not possible with the current Live offering though,

Auto Open Plugin Windows

Hi fellow Live People, does anyone know if there is a way to make Ableton Live automatically open any/all of the windows for the plugins that are saved with a given Live set? For instance, when opening a LIVE SET that has plugins saved in it I must always then manually open the plugin windows. There ...

Also worth mentioning, a passive DI is an isolation/impedance transformer in a mertal box with a couple of jacks and hopefully a switch or two. Radial, a company out of Canada makes an excellent range of DI's, notably the passive model that uses 'Jensen" transformers. Certainly audiophile grade soun...

HI Lokey, for our purposes any DI with a ground lift switch will do. To reiterate, have you tried your setup with "only" connecting the laptop, the echo indigo DJ(with just one of the outputs going to the DI) and then an XLR(3 prong mic cable) cable to the PA? What happens, and again does the noise ...

Ground loop noises

To all with the AC adapter noise. The problem is most likely a groung loop. This is created when the computer chassis has two or more paths to ground. In the case of a laptop the ground is 'seen' at the computer's power supply's 3rd prong and at the audio interface's I/O ground thru the PA's ground....
