Can't Edit wavs in clip view?

Okay, this is weird and it's probably something stupid I'm overlooking because I'm sleep deprived, but... For some reason I can't edit wavs in clip view. There aren't any measure segments, it's just a grey background and the wavform in black. I can zoom in and out, but I can't highlight any of the ...

Tap Tempo of New Audio Clip? Multiple Tempos in Arrangement.

I couldn't really figure out how to search for the question I'm about to ask, and I did search a little bit before-hand so apologies if this is a redundant question.

I have a project that I'm recording from scratch in arrangement view. It has multiple tempos throughout the song (three to be exact ...

Multiple Time Signatures and/or Tempo's in Live?

Searched a bit and didn't really see an answer specifically to this question, so I hope I'm not posting n00b junk with this, but...

How would I go about setting up a click in Live for multiple time signatures or tempo's? Several of my songs switch timing or tempo and I only really need the click ...

Dropouts

Not sure if I'm asking too much of my system, but I've been experiencing, what I consider to be, an unacceptable level of glitchy noise and small dropouts with my Ableton setup.

I have a 1.7 duo-core athlon with 3 gigs of ram and over 150 gigs of free hard drive space.
My audio interface is a ...

Axiom 49 and Mackie u.420d driver conflict?

I've been having problems keeping M-Audio's Axiom 49 drivers on an even keel with Mackie's drivers for the u.420d in a state that doesn't require me reinstalling the drivers every session.
Does anyone know of any conflicts between these drivers? It seems that neither is very stable on it's own ...

Thank you.

Actually, I just realised I can put the clip in it's own track and simply effect that.

I appreciate your reply, however, and will look into that tutorial.

Thanks again!

Noob Question. Applying Effects To Just One Part Of A Clip.

Doing a remix and I need a delay for just the end part of a clip. Is there any way to apply an effect to one part of a waveform in arrangement view? Or does the effect effect the whole track?

Noob question: Live is recording the metronome...

I am using a Mackie u.420d firewire mixer/audio interface. The drivers are current and the interface is recognized. The audio comes through the input fine, but when I record, the metronome is recorded onto the armed track as well as what I'm intentionally recording. Then, when a new track is created ...
