+1 OSC via usb.
My exprience with adhoc networks is that they are very unstable and are not trustworthy for live performance. So, if adhoc networking is the best solution so far, the necesity of osc via usb is quite obvious.

Live should recieve and filter OSC messages
With the creation of applications like TouchAble, konkreet performer, toucOSC,and interfaces like the monome ohm64, etc. more and more people are having to translate osc messages to midi so ableton can accept them, and workarounds using Pd and max 4 live are cumbersome and, in my experience ...

Re: still cant figure out how to change presets with a qwerty...
i think he means he wants to have a preset assigned to a particular key. I don't know how you can do it without max, which should be quite easy. Maybe someone's already done it. anyone? actually it would be real nice to add an event list to Live so patch changes can be automated. i'll put it in the ...

Re: Is the launchpad supposed to be showing vegas mode lights?
Does the launchpad only work with live 8? cause i'm still back at live 7 and i'm considering buying the launchpad. if it's not registered automatically by live 7 could i still register it as a "generic" midi controller and program the lights (using Pd or max/msp)? also, could it be possible to ...

Live, MaxMSP, Puredata, Arduino, Makeboard
anyone with any experience using an MaxMSP, Puredata, arduino or a makeboard as an interface with Live?
I'm planning on getting either of these to use with Live, i just wanted to know a few things:
1) is it possible to use the MaxMSP or Pd, not Max for Live, to create standalone VSTs to use within ...

Re: how in gods name can map unmappable shite?
that's a really cool VST, i don't have Live 8, what i thought you could do is get the sound you want in the VST, record it into ableton, play each sample back in reason, although it can probably be done in ableton's drum packs. But you get alot more channels in 1 reason drum sampler vs 1 ableton ...

using casio CTK-811 as midi controller, can't find driver
i've been trying to hook up my casio keyboard to use it as my midi controller, got a midi to usb cable connected. preferences> midi sync> track and remote switched on. General Midi is activated on the keyboard. Live doesn't register any midi input.
i can't find the keyboard's driver aywhere, and i ...
