Re: Ez Drummer vs Addictive Drums Midi beats
If you want to use EZ2's midi with a third party drum library you can compose your midi track in EZ, drag it into your DAW, and assign it to the non-EZ kit.
I have both EZ and AD, and I prefer EZ2 for simplicity and ease of use.

Rubygunz,
Did you take my advice, above?
If so, you are now making better music and are a much better educated musician than pinkpaint, who is still trying to figure out how to "make a song."
Good luck.

Re: Filtering Programm change Messages
Tagor, above, has it right. Only way to do it I have found is M4L Pks MIDI Tool. http://www.maxforlive.com/library/device/2503/pks-midi-tool I was using an M-Audio Pro61 with several VST instruments. Any Program Change I sent went to all instruments. Ableton does not allow filtering PCs on some chan...

Re: Starting in music production
Take a few years of professional lessons on the instrument you like (piano, guitar, etc.).
Then you can spend your money on the right software/hardware for you.

Re: Live Performance Latency Issues
I've used MOTU interfaces for years and got great low latency. I don't know why the OP had Asio4all listed. Use the manufacturer's drivers and you should get the best performance.
Asio4all is really more for those with no audio interface who want to get the most out a computer with native drivers.

Re: an "instrument" that plays the full-range .mid files?
There are not many good MIDI player VSTs around. Cakewalk's TTS-1 sounds great, and comes with all their DAWs, even the $40 version of Sonar. It's worth buying the whole program just to get the MIDI player, and is probably your best bet. You can also use a Sound font player. There are some decent so...

Re: Live 9 Suite - How to block incoming program changes?
Thanks ppeeddrroo!
It took me a while to figure out how to get it working in m4l, but it works great!
It also gave me a peek at how powerful m4l is.
Thanks!

Re: Live 9 Suite - How to block incoming program changes?
Thanks dream, I found that thread in an earlier search. I tried the links to s-production and ndcmidi, but Live 9 didn't seem to register the vsts. The chainer might work, but it seems like a complicated way to solve a very simple task. It would require loading four instruments into the chainer, the...

Live 9 Suite - How to block incoming program changes?
I have a set with four instances of WIVI Band. I do not want them to respond to incoming MIDI Program Changes.
Is there a way?
I'm using Live 9 Suite.
Thanks.

Re: No sound in iTunes, web browsers, etc. when running ASIO4ALL
Go to Control Panel>Sound and make sure your Default Playback Device is the correct one. Windows will use it for all its sound output, and you should hear everything as you want.

Re: Midi Keyboard Question (images included)
Try using the keyboard with something other than Live. If it's still wrong, then blame the keyboard. If it works fine, it's a setting in Live.

Check the Transpose setting in your keyboard.
