Re: Launchpad : Visual feedback in user 2 mode

I have achieved something similar to what your describing by using dummy clips and midi learn. you can change the colour of the button using note velocity, i am on a mrk one launch pad so this could be different for you.

Directlink with oxygen v3 (blue) not mapping to channels 8+

Hi, Has any one else is using the oxygen 61 v3 (blue) keyboard and live noticed that it no longer will map beyond an 8th channel like it used to? I used to be able to run a 16 channel project and when I selected track nine with the oxygen the whole mapping of the sliders changed to control channels ...

Re: Suitable Microphone for Field Recording

I have the DR 07 mk one I dont know if the mark two is different but you can get a lot of case noise. I picked up a tabletop camera tripod and a small circle of rubber to stand it on. Not that elegant but does the trick. I also have a Rode M3 that I use with it, not stereo but again does the trick.

Re: Think I'm going Mac, is (Feb 2011) 13" MacBook Pro i7 good?

I went from a 17 inch screen to a 13 and while it took a bit of getting used to it does not bother me to much these days. The portability makes up for it big time though and as much as I would like a big monitor I cant justify the expense at the moment. Enjoy your new Laptop :)

Re: Reducing latency / ACPI problems

DPC latency is more to do with how windows shares the CPU cycles and not so much about sheer power. If your not hearing any audio cliches than you might be worrying to much, it could always be the case that the audio card is calling the cpu and causing the spike which I think would not cause a click...

Re: Reducing latency / ACPI problems

Are you disabling other stuff like modem, network card, wifi and setting the power saving setting to always on? All these things can introduce dpc latency spikes. Don't get to bogged down with the figures use your ears, if you hear no clicks or pops in your audio the latency is not really being a pr...

Re: midikatapult java set up probz

Sorry I was not sure how far you had got looking at it aired on the safe side. To program it you use a text based system, initially this filled me with dread but in practice it is quite simple to do. The good news is I have found out the Java solution.... in finder do a 'get info' over the app and o...

Re: bug or limitation when recording with midi clips?

Got it licked today, you have to have the automation on the same track as the vsti and then set up another midi track for keyboard access. Simple when you know how only took about 6 hours to get it sorted.

Re: bug or limitation when recording with midi clips?

Sorry it might not actually called the session view, but it is the page that looks more linear like logic or pro tools. I normally record into that to finish a production.
