Re: Multiple Arrangements - simple yet oh so powerful
imagineowl - I work in software and in my opinion to do multiple arrangements within a project is trivial. The arrangement is really just the organised list of when and how to play all the samples, virtual instruments, etc that are loaded in already.

Polyphonic aftertouch is one of its key features.
Maybe we'll get it in Ableton 27?

Simbosan, I'm surprised no one has said this already, but your device is brilliant. Just a shame it has to jump back to 0 when you let go... Abes need to sort this out!

Multiple Arrangements - simple yet oh so powerful
Hi,
There could be a little drop down in the header area that allows you to create and switch between multiple arrangements. Then you can try different arrangements, mixes, etc, all without having to save multiple versions of the track and allowing you to keep the same session view.
Best,
Alex

Re: Live + 3rd party plugins = FAIL
I think Ableton do market as being on a par with the other DAWs. I am now on Ableton Suite 8 and have upgraded since version 6, so I've given them a considerable sum of money. They should have been fixing all this stuff instead of messing around with Max4Live, which no doubt is just complicating eve...

Re: Live + 3rd party plugins = FAIL
Yes, that's true, but a bit restrictive no? So I can't put any tempo synced gates, LFOs or filters after my UAD stuff? I just bought the Vengeance Sidechain Compressor. It will sync to tempo, but if I put it after a bunch of UAD stuff - no good. And to be honest, I'm finding this whole thing confusi...

Re: Live + 3rd party plugins = FAIL
It's just too rigid - things like session view and instrument, audio and drum racks make a huge difference to workflow. And let's be honest, Logic is not entirely logical! I don't want to stop using Ableton but I just bought a UAD-2 Quad and these plugin compensation problems mean I'm just gonna get...

Re: Live + 3rd party plugins = FAIL
This really makes using a UAD-2 difficult…
I'm going on holiday for 2 weeks tomorrow. If Live 9 isn't announced when I get back, I'm switching to Logic.
*Sigh* (I hate Logic… but I hate this more).

Re: Two BIG Problems with Plug-In Delay Compensation in Ableton
Hi, I did a better search after your response and see that I haven't uncovered anything new. But still, I'm shocked… this is a sequencer that dares to call itself version EIGHT and they haven't got something as simple as disabling a plugin removing it from the signal flow sorted. This reminds me of ...

Two BIG Problems with Plug-In Delay Compensation in Ableton
Hi, When you add a plugin to a track, you would expect that when you disable it by pressing the device activator button in the top left that it would be the equivalent of just removing the plugin. Unfortunately, that is not the case! I have a UAD-2 and when using a Moog Filter on a track there is th...

Re: Multiband Compressor/Dynamics with Sidechain for Live...?
Oh - and why is High-Q mode bad? Because of oversampling? Why?
Thanks

Re: Multiband Compressor/Dynamics with Sidechain for Live...?
Hi Khazul, (sorry in advance for all the Qs!) I just followed thru your example just now and that's amazing! It works really well. I used it to compress the hats in a drum loop and it worked much MUCH better than filtering out the highs from one chain and the lows of another. Without incredibly stee...

Re: How to record Clip-automation?
One thing the Abes could add that would at least let us experiment more freely is multiple arrangements. It must be sooooooooooooooooooooooo easy to implement... just have a little pull down bar at the top with the arrangements listed and an "Add Arrangement" and "Delete Arrangement&q...
