so what's the re/solution for this issue?
I'm working with KMI soft step 2 and it does not arm exclusively, although that setting is specified in Live 9 (standard)

midi mapping: clicking controller to arm track...
so I'm using external midi controllers to arm and disarm tracks (exclusively). but when I accidentally click the controller button for an already armed track, it disarms it. (click once=arm; click twice=disarm; click thrice=arm; etc.) is it possible to prevent the controller to disarm an already arm...

Re: Apogee Duet latency on macbook pro c2d?
with all respect to your specific situation, after all my testing – which included the much more expensive RME hammerfall, a couple of motu's, and mackie's as well – this duet is perfectly suited and performs at least as well as all the others! I have to resort to those measures described above only...

Re: Apogee Duet latency on macbook pro c2d?
hey, I'm running the same set up, it seems – 2.16 Ghz C2D with 2GB of RAM. I simply restart my computer before every session I do. that seems to free up the processor from a lot of background processes. and I turn off wiFi and sometimes reduce color depth of the monitor. all in order to allow LIVE a...

Re: session drums: kits that are missing the low floor tom
can anyone explain why – when I drag a sample from one drumrack pad to another (from note F1 to note G1, for example) – it plays only 2 hits – and then 10 without sound?

Re: problems with latency
looks like you're dealing with the typical latency issues that everyone has. except, you're using the built-in soundcard of your notebook? that will give you the worst results, in terms of quality and latency, I'm afraid. these internal sound cards are not made for even semi-professional recording. ...

Re: Apogee Duet latency on macbook pro c2d?
hi. I've got a 2.16GHz MBP with 2GB RAM and the apogee duet. I also have the RME multiface II with expresscard34. did extensive testing with latency (as a drummer, I can't live with more than 10ms and that's stretching it). and although the multiface produces less latency, I made a strange discovery...

Re: session drums: kits that are missing the low floor tom
bump
and wondering if it's not clear: how do I get a sample to play properly in drum rack (note F1)?
normally, I just copy or drag a sample from another cell.
anyone?

session drums: kits that are missing the low floor tom
some of the kits in session drums seem to be missing the low floor tom (that's the drum rack pad with note G1) so when I copy the sample from the floor tom (that's the drum rack pad with note F1) and paste it into pad G1, it only works sporadically (I'm triggering via Roland TD-10 vDrums which have ...

Re: how to switch tracks to trigger different sounds?
ah. I shall try that. I'm using drum racks already so that won't interfere with using instrument racks (I suppose that's what you mean by rack?). I'm also concerned that too many midi devices in one rack will eat up processor power. or. oh. wait.. I guess if I turn of a chain, it won't require proce...

Re: how to switch tracks to trigger different sounds?
in case anyone cares, I found my solution and it was pretty easy: just arm the track whose sounds I want to play and set all monitors to "auto". that way, the signal will only come through that one track (reducing processor resources) and I can use my foot controller to switch between trac...
