Re: 9.5 updated sounds
If you search your Packs you will find the new stuff in various places in the Core Library. Galactic Slap, Thicket, etc. But I do agree it is not really clear from the description on the "What's New in 9.5" page. And again, another vote for some better system to keep track of updates to Pa...

A Command Line Utility To Change Firmware Modes On The APC40
I wrote a little command line utility in Java to change the firmware modes (Generic/Ableton Live/Alternate Ableton Live) on the APC40 - it's Mac only for the time being, but I'm going to add Windows/Linux compatibility when I get a chance, and hopefully some kind of GUI: More info here: http://www.t...

Re: APC40 v.s PUSH
I still prefer faders - motorized would be nice still.Matt_Quinn wrote:It looks like the knobs will control track volume, which IMO is even better than faders, since as you scroll through tracks, there won't be a disconnect between where the physical faders are & where the on screen volume is.

Re: APC40 v.s PUSH
from a live performance perspective I would personally rather have the APC's faders (despite them being only so-so) than none at all.

Re: Pitch Correction Software
I'm planning to get a pitch correction plugin. I foresee that I will mostly be using it for minor pitch correction (i'm a decent, but not mindblowing, singer) and possibly transposition (in other words, I'm not really concerned with Melodyne's Direct Note Access thing, I don't do much sampling as o...

anyone use a Pelican case for their APC40?
if so, wondering which model you use.
tropical climate (humidity, salt air, heat, etc.) where i live tends to destroy equipment, and also eventually rusts my flight cases, so looking to get a Pelican case to put an APC40 in.

Re: does anyone actually perform LIVE using Live?
does anyone actually perform LIVE using Live? well, yes I do, in fact this actual question/topic is to me indeed a bit strange sounding to me... what do you mean with "perform live"? => in front of a public? (but without it, that would not really be live) (I do) => huge paid shows? (I don...

Hi Tunecrew, you might like to check out this video. It's not a gig, but its from the soundcheck of a gig. There's some Dub techniques in there (All Hail Jamaica!! :D ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1siG6_Pd-Mg <-- Pitch Black Walkthru that is very cool! watched a couple of your vids - might even ...

does anyone actually perform LIVE using Live?
I've been looking around for ideas for using Live (I own Live 8) in conjunction with Serato for my DJ gigs (house/edm/etc) - was inspired by seeing what Enferno does - musically that's not my style, but he has a really cool presentation. So I went to look on YouTube to see what other people are doin...

Re: Standalone VST host for Mac?
thanx
rax is interesting but it is an AU host, need a VST host
will look at renoise, although would still like something that has just audio in, audio out, midi in and that's it
