Re: CONFUSED? YOU WILL BE....

I just recently, out of the blue, had a chance to read "The Searchers" by Alan Le May. The first and only Western I've ever read, I'd highly recommend it to anyone who enjoyed/s the movie.

Re: Samplification! ....ok now where is it?

I had to do a Library repair, including Live Packs. This is getting to be SOP w/ Live Packs on my rig. They're all there now. For me, Sampler has been the surprise bonus of getting the Suite, which I'd mostly gone with just to get Latin Perc and Tension.

Re: Dream Gear

I've got my dream instruments. And my mic closet is modest but getting there... I'm getting closer to something like this all the time.

But honestly, I'd settle for zooming with the mouse wheel. I'm easy. :D

Re: I saw a 'jumper' today

Completely coincidentally, I've been witness to the immediate aftermath of three different jumpers. It is an unsettling experience. I've also had a good friend go off his meds and gradually crazy to the point where he jumped. When I heard about it I drove to his home. He'd left the door unlocked and...

Re: Live 8 Suite -vs- new chair...

I came by an Aeron chair right after I bought Live8. Having used them both for a month now, given the choice I'd go with Live and sit on the floor.

Live 5 holdout here too. One word: Racks!
But so much more. Too much to list.

But there were some bugs. The installer for one. I had to re-install/repair the Libaray a couple of times before all the presets and samples showed up. Be sure to download the Legacy Live Pack.

Re: Do you leave your computer on?

I think the obsession with leaving computers on is a technical anachronism, like screen savers. If I turn mine on four times in a day, I turn it off four times too. It boots-up in well under 30 seconds, and I've got multiple drives for backups and ghosts. Anymore I don't think spinning up is as much...

Re: Hotswap is flaky

Thanks for the fast response, I was ski camping all weekend.

I have the latest 8.0.3 installed but haven't been able to reproduce this behavior today. When it happened, I was searching for a bass sound I think... Anyway, if it happens again I'll pay more attention and try to isolate the cause.
