Re: Why no Push discount for Suite owners?
Thanks yeah, I may end up buying it elsewhere and doing that, it certainly seems to be what Ableton expects you to do. Who in their right mind would pay more for push than retail and not get an extra Intro license on top... Or I may go with a Launchpad Pro. I'm not fully decided yet and being able t...

Why no Push discount for Suite owners?
I've been getting more into a workflow where Push might fit in nicely (looping, clip launching) but I was amazed to see that the price Ableton offers me as a Suite Owner is the same as Push+Intro, so basically the same as if I didn't own Live at all, whereas I'd get a $100 discount if I bought push+...

Re: Ableton as a Guitar Effects Unit - suggestions?
M-Audio Black Box http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee217/MISTERNATURAL/blackbox_zps58c522f1.jpg works great here . . . It's fun and cheap, but there's really no controller element at all. Thee pdals control the Unit, not your DAW, and the unit is, erm, awful. IMO the Rig Control hardware pedal (t...

Do you have both 64bit and 32bit versions in the same place?

Re: Windows users: Crash question
I get this every time Live 8 crashes on Windows 8. Since 8.4 is crashing more than ever, that is often (well, not so often recently because I've become fed up with it). Reaper, Renoise and Audiomulch don't tie up the System that way when they crash, so while I've read about other DAWs leaving a 'zom...

Re: Tips for Android midi controller?
Yeah, Android touchOSC doesn't support importing custom layouts. There's dawOSC, but the editor is only for windows: http://www.dawsound.com/ There's Control, but there is no editor, the interfaces are written in JSON: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.charlieroberts.Control Also saw...

Re: Kind of pissed off by buying Max4L on Suite 8
What are you missing here is thar Max standalone is not included with m4l, it's a separte application so in some way it's quite irrelevant to have 5 or 6. What you are missing here is that the m4L download for Live 9 is m4L v6.1 while the one for Live 8 is m4L v5.1, the version number being a refer...

Re: Kind of pissed off by buying Max4L on Suite 8
Yeah, they're basically selling a discontinued product. m4L is only in Suite 9, the 'other' one is the old m4l, based on Max 5. And no, there's no way you could have known that, really. But for what you must have paid you could have ought Live 9 Suite for little more and used m4L from there with Liv...

Re: qu-neo/mapping x-y parameters
It's most likely your Quneo mapping that centers the XY-pads when you release them. I don't have one (but I have a Softstep). On the Softstep you need to select XY latch as the chain input for the parameter to stay where it was (as opposed to XY live where it bounces back when you release). The Qune...

Re: Live 8 x64 and M4L - what's the deal?
You still have functionality of M4L in Live 8. You mean you have m4L 5 functionality in Live 8. Meanwhile, the actual m4L is version 6.1, with significant enough changes obviously that e.g. Granulator II will not run in Max 5, and some m4L 5 devices won't run in m4L 6, meaning (I fear at least), th...

Re: Live 8 x64 and M4L - what's the deal?
Seems to me they're trying to railroad existing M4L users into the Suite 9 upgrade... After all, we've already paid for M4L. Yeah, and we paid more for it than many paid for their upgrade to Suite 9. Now, through their abandoning further support of m4L in Live 8, they made it so we bought 'The Old ...

Re: Installing Max4live devices in 9
Many would probably agree. The thing is you're supposed to stick with factory content and stock presets now. Problem Solved. One day you too will understand that all that all your fiddling and preset making is only keeping you from making music. Real musicians need neither device presets n...
