I've read a few posts on a good way to set up live8 for live looping and I've played with it a bunch but i'm really interested to play with some other people's set ups as there are lot's of ways to skin a cat in ableton.

and same goes... if you can get you expression pedals working let us know how you did it... i still cannot get it done.

but this looper has way more options than my RC-20!!!

well, what ever works. notes, CC, it's all just midi. there are 16 channels of 127 notes... your not likely to double up unless your conducting a midi symphony through live.

there was a post earlier in this thread where the person talked about learning to only use CC for controls... like a midi ...

There are some really cool midi aps by ITM that are worthy for the iphone.

if you have it plugged in and anchored to your set up you can have all kinds of extra controllers.

I personally use the hell out of the XY controller and another one that gives me 8 sliders and 8 buttons.

Well Landwhale... I figured out that if i send a cc to the looper it goofs... if i send a note to it it works fine.

I'm on a mac G5 quad 4GB ram, Live 8.0.3 MOTU fast track and Kontroll 49 / oxygen8 all through a Mackie onyx 1640...

for the mac i found a program called iFCB that let's me map ...

Im just setting up my FCB1010 with live 8. I got it just for the looper function.

I've found a great site that taught me step by step how to program the FCB to send controller messages but it's acting weird with looper so far.

on the first step it will record and second step it will loop but here ...
