I'm working on some stuff with Kontakt and would love to be able to get multiple channels out of my device - what's the best way to do this? I can imagine using sends to multiple devices and setting them to the various channels I need and guess this will do for now but seems a bit long-winded...any ...

sorry if missing something obvious but just been trying to set up some stuff with a metro synced to the main transport and it always misses the first bang when I hit play - this is the same in the tutorial patches "building MIDI generators"
or is this what's meant to be happening?

So far how do you convert Audio to MIDI?
I have found an ftom objects that gets frequency as input so now
what I have is how do I get a frequency from a monophonic audio source (i.e. my guitar)?
I found no object capable of that...

you could change quantize in the launch section from "global" to whatever beat division you're interested in...but if you want to hit the trigger on the onbeat your best bet is probably to use a blank clip above it with a follow action

tried it with autofilter by itself and still crashed

Live has crashed a couple of times now when I have placed an autofilter after a virtual instrument and tweaked the xy control. On both occasions this has been all I've had in there - both Native Instruments plugins, purchased - Massive and then FM8..

I've also noticed that the pointer tends to end ...

Not sure if this is what you mean but you can toggle it by selecting a clip, "showing fades" and right-clicking on a breakpoint.

I love live 8 and I love the idea of the new group tracks but can't seem to find a way to map their columns to keyboard or MIDI like I can with regular clips...which unfortunately makes them a little redundant the way I want to use them, it seems I still need to hit triggers for all the clips in the ...
