I getting the same issue, ableton crashes while 'creating a new set'

removed all vst's, uninstalled, re downloaded re installed with no joy
live 7 still working fine

Mac Book 2.2 Intel
2 Gb ram
OSx 10.5.6
using built in core audio

Live v 8.0b15
