Re: grabbing Push controls
Thank you guys for the advices, Valiumdupeuple, I couldn't check out your patch as it is because your abstractions don't come through, they are greyed out as I paste them. Still, I did make some slow progress, I understand the syntax better now. So the grab and release actions read " call grab/...

grabbing Push controls
Hello, I have a Push to play around with and I try to grab its controls. It took me a while to find the information that the path I wanted to use was "path control_surfaces 0" and that the negative Id values output from [live.path] weren't error messages. So finally I can now get the list ...

big number of presets draining CPU?
Hello, I use personalized store/recall systems in my Live sets and each time it is as the preset gets fuller that the CPU raises, causing frozen screen and lack of response with MIRA. I realize my patches probably can be optimized a long way, but there are situations where you cannot replace live.ob...

Re: A question about preset recall efficiency
Thank you broc, multiple live.remotes is definitely the way to go! I just need to think of a nice system for toggling between the id and "id 0" for each element of the poly~ as the controllers will need to be accessed from other places.

Re: A question about preset recall efficiency
Ok here you go: Here you have 64 controllers (normally these would be all the parameters of a VST as next device in the chain, or all the send amounts of different tracks into different return tracks). For now I just try to randomize them. One method uses live.objects for each controller. The other ...

Re: A question about preset recall efficiency
Ok, that must be done then. Still, I wonder: some data must be changed with live.object's. I will not be able to go under a half dozen live.object actions at each preset recall. Typically, how could I recall playing clips or change tempo without live.object's ? So I'd still love to have some concret...

A question about preset recall efficiency
Hello, this is a rather general question. I have a big patch that stores and recalls presets. The preset content includes, among others, 64 values for the parameters of a live device. At this moment I have live.objects pointed at each of these parameters and I am not happy with the results. Persiste...

Yes but it seems like gen~ still isn't available to M4L users here it will still open in runtime mode..

Coll not saving if device locked
Hello, I have a [coll] object with "save data with patcher" on. It will only save data if data is entered in edit mode. If the M4L device is locked, changes are discarded as I load the Live set again. I use coll all the time so I feel strange I haven't noticed this before. I remember savin...

Re: Preset for playing clips of a Live set
Hello, le Chapelier Fou, Yes of course, I would love to see how you solve this. I have added my solution, which does not use scene logic at all. Still, it is not quite clear to me why it is not more precise. I know the send/receive method is not too reliable for timing as there is a delay of irregul...

Preset for playing clips of a Live set
Hello, Ok the scene concept is here exactly for this reason, but I still would like to be able to trigger freely chosen clips on different tracks in one preset recall. I know how to do this with a "master" m4l device and "slave" m4l devices on each clip, and with send/receive bet...
