Re: Musical intentions versus musical outcomes
Really great comments and ideas in this post. Left me with nothing much to add. There's a short video from Derek Sivers that i remember everytime i get stuck with a song. Kind of obvious, but what he says really resonates with me: what seems obvious to you might be amazing to others. Worth wa...

Re: LIVE 8 0R 9 EQUIVALENT OF STUTTER EDIT?
If you have Suite 9 + M4L, Buffer Shuffler 2.0 might be an alternative also. Sure, it's no Stutter Edit, but you can get some cool results with it. Also, another crazy M4L just released (and it's free): Granular Mirror Maze: http://www.maxforlive.com/library/device/1521/granular-mirror-maze Check ou...

Still using Live Suite 8 and loving it. Just got the full version of Kontakt and Cineorch and i'm having a blast. Might get some orchestral libraries later on, but i do have everything i need to make music. Can't blame it on Live for my occasional lack of creativity.

Help: collab with someone who's not using Live
Happy 2012 everyone! I own Live 8 and want to import projects recorded in other DAWs (PT, Logic, Sonar etc). In my mind, the easiest way would be to ask the person to export each track as a separate wav/aif file and send them to me. But i see one big issue with this method: i wouldn't know where to ...

Anyone running it yet? Would love to hear some first impressions, specially from those in Win7/64. I'm still on 8.2 and will probably upgrade as soon as i finish some projects. Thanks!

Re: Backup... Yaaawn!
I'm using the paid version of Crashplan and it works great. It was just a matter of setting the frequency of backups, the destinations (you can backup to/from external drives, different computers, friend's computers and even online via Crashplan Central). It's really a set and forget process. You mi...

Re: Building a new DAW - What do you guys think of this?
Thanks everyone that replied so far! :) why not the intel 2nd gen i7 and lga 1155 board? do nvidia cards still have conflicts with audio hardware? might check into that. i think there might be a problem with nvidia cards?!?! From what i've read, the Sandy Bridge processors (or the newest Intel chips...

Re: NI's new synth - Razor
Listening to the Torley preset video, this thing actually has a lot more versatility than the demo trailer thing suggests. A lot more useful stuff than just wobblebass and filter sweeps. NI did themselves a disservice by making the demo so 'LOOK AT HOW YOU CAN WOBBLE WITH IT!', IMO Agree! Was liste...
