Re: Grouping drums together and compressing them
or you can try mixing the drums into a compressor...
stick a compressor on the bus and tweak the levels of the individual drum tracks.
this works well if you're using quite extreme compression settings.

Re: Is NI trying to convert us into a product and sell it ?
we need to know what he said... STAT the conspiracy is strong with this one. Emissary needs to examine the this. lol. he suggested that Ableton might be plotting to repackage Max4Live devices made by the patching community to sell them for profit. Or at least that's how I understood it. Now, where'...

hahaha - this thread is great. Its like Big Society bugfixing.
I'm pretty surprised that there are so many problems still. Been fine for me on OSX.

a toss up between the Hay Festival of Literature and the Arts and the Hastings Traditional Jack-in-the-Green Morris Dancing Festival.

Re: Garage/2 Step beats - Textured Drum Beats
I actually do things backwards (compared to most people). I make ALL my drums, bass, atmos and FX using Zebra, bounce them (well- all the drums/bass anyway) and sketch out a rough sequence. Then, as the sequence evolves, I layer textures on the pure synth sounds. The end results don't sound synthesi...

Re: 8.2.2 just as buggy as ever
Logic: I use squizzillions of 3rd party s/w therefore any and all crashes must be Ableton. this logic is correct. tons of 3rd party plugins crash ableton this is fact. some users use different combinations with different outcomes. it just freakin needs to be fixed. I don't usually bother weighing i...
