Re: Sweet Techhouse with Softube TSAR Reverb
Cheers mate, I've just placed my order at Thomann. It was on my wantlist for a long time now. Recently I noticed that 2caudio has an end of the year-sale which lowered the price of Aether to that of TSAR-1, but after some demoing I too think that less tweaking options is ok for my purposes. I favor ...

Re: Sweet Techhouse with Softube TSAR Reverb
Very cool track Sascha! Exactly the kind of blend between tech and true musical instruments that I strive for.
How do you like the TSAR-1 reverb? I'm considering buying it, but I'm also reading good stories about the Aether reverb by 2caudio.
I'm demoing Aether verb and it sounds pretty good. It ...

I second the Redline verb. You can demo it for 60 days.

Sampler's Interpolation: best left to 'no' for drumhits?
Hi again,
After having decided to use Sampler for all my drum/percussion sounds here , I happily turned all my Simplers into Samplers.
I got confused when reading up on Interpolation. Searching the internet and these forums didn't provide me with explanation that allows me to conclude which ...

Re: NI Battery users: what's the added value in Ableton?
Thanks Khazul for your elaborate reply. I also saw some useful posts here (not a big fan of gearslutz by the way, but this discussion had some useful remarks).
I work only in Ableton so I don't have to worry about compatibility with other DAWs.

NI Battery users: what's the added value in Ableton?
Hi guys,
I'm wondering if some NI Battery users can explain what for them the added value of using NI Battery over/besides native Ableton instruments such as Simpler/Sampler, Drum Racks, Impulse is.
I'm working with Ableton's instruments for some years now so I know their capabilities. The ...

Re: plug-in on master channel for a Live-Gig?
Hi.
I think it all depends on your preferred way of working; I know people who play with a masterchain and people who play without. Though I mostly see people playing without anything but an Ableton limiter.
I also work like that; with just a limiter, and aim to have all my channels independently ...

Missing samples Drumrack --> Solved
Solved by searching my mac for the snaredrum file. I remember copying that snaredrum file to another location but apparently I moved it from its original location.

Re: Does the autofilter add in DB?
Thanks for your analysis. You are right; the autofilter does automatically add something since the Q is at the lowest 0.20.
I'll have another go with the eq8; with this theory it shouldn't be possible but I did in my case.

Re: Does the autofilter add in DB?
No. The same happens if I try it with an eq8, so this is likely "normal" audio behavior. But I'm very curious about the theory behind it..
Cutting away the bassregion (or any frequency band in the spectrum for that matter) shifts the balance in the track and thus other frequencies have more space ...

Does the autofilter add in DB?
First of all I'd like to say thank you to Ableton for really doing an excellent job on fixing bugs. I had some problems with crashes and freezes before, but within 2 updates all my problems were solved and I never had a crash even since :D (knock on wood).

Re: Known problem? Syntax error when freezing a track
Hi Marian,
You are right, I'd already gotten the new beta off my system. My bad.
I've reinstalled it and will do all my work with the beta from now on. If I encouter any problems, I'll report them. (I won't be working with Ableton a lot this week, hopefully more next week.)
Thanks for your support ...

God [...] :x
So I rebooted Ableton and the only thing I did was dragging the Erosion device in the chain again et voila:
