I'm just about to dump my FW Audiophile.
It keeps going to sleep on me, and not when the computer goes to sleep, but after about 20 minutes of non-use of the interface.
Got the "known issues crap too" and that was nearly a year ago and no fix.

naw, it's too oppressive out there. i couldn't live out in the boroughs at all. Not for me. I've spent time in Bushwick and I just didn't like it. My friends lived there. So many heads I knew ditched the East Village/Williamsburg scene to go to Brooklyn, Bronx, S.I. Jersey, Queens...i just couldn't...

I'm sampling from records and all I want to do is cut the sample down to 1 or 2 bars I use to do it in Cubase 5 and Logic, but now I'm OSX and need something that supports core audio. i just simply want to create loops.

Can anyone recomend a good audio editing program that works well with Ableton? It would be nice to cut up recoeded audio without having to import and export files.
