say you want to record a vocal line several times to make it seem as if there were a whole big crowd singing but you don't want to record the same line into a million different tracks. you want to record one take then the next take then the next take and so on into the same track and have them all ...

If doing it in Live is too complicated for you, then you could try Logic Mainstage or Audiofile Engineering's Rax.
I wouldn't say live is "to complicated" although I'm a pretty nubish. It's lookin like it's just not capable of what I'm wanting it to do! I checked out the programs you mentioned ...

Maybe keymap all your "song a" plugins on/off to a keystroke like shift-a or so?
That way you can turn them all off after you finish that song.
Also you can use different midi channels for controling each song.
What possibilities are there in using different midi channels?

Yeah, I'm running several chains... It's just nuts! Seems like there should be some way to do this easy. This is "live" after all. Lol. Thanks.

I just encountered a problem. I realized that when I go from one chain zone to the next it does mute previous chains but it does not turn off thier plug ins and I'm running far to many plug ins to have them all on at the same time!!!!
ouch. Solutions???

I am curious if it is possible to assign a specific key to each song that will turn on that songs plug ins and turn off all others so I can jump around a bit if need be instead of having to stick to a rigid ...

thanks for the responses guys! i'm kinda seein where i should go with it but just to clarify i'm not actually using loops or anything that is pre recorded. it's all live audio/midi thats running through ableton. i play a full drum set, guitar, 3 keyboards, and switch on and off singing between 3 ...

loading multiple live projects
Hey, I've heard of people loading multiple projects, like 1 project per song, for live performance so they can just x off the box when they get to the next song and the song is ready to go with all the correct plugins etc. Is this possible in live? or is there a better way? Thanks.
