Finally found it. Posting solution for anyone in the future that might find this topic.
Under the MIDI tab, the Pitch value for Note was at -48. Setting it to 0 "unlocked" the keyboard range.

Make wavetable patch pitch with keyboard
Hello all. This feels really stupid, I can't figure it out and the manual didn't help enough for me to sort it out myself, and I'm at a loss on how to google for this :) So, I found a nice preset for Wavetable, Turgid Kick, that I'd like to explore further. But I want it to be in key and playable. B...

Re: Track cannot be frozen due to MIDI routing?
I guess you got some side chain action going on. I wish freeze was supported for that as well. Not sure how it would work, but I'd leave that to the amazing Ableton to figure out :) Edit: Sorry, didn't see the Midi In-part of your error message. That's a bit weird... No midi channel sending midi inf...

Search field doesn't work
Tried to search for a solution but found nothing. So Ableton 8.1.1 is now up and running on my new iMac. I've installed my plugins for a few hours now and I just noticed that the search field in the Plugin menu gives no hits even though I can see them in there when not searching. What's up with that...

Re: Spectrum analyzer on secondary monitor/computer
Well, I was hoping to have the analyzer analyze the output in another app or even on another computer, so not a plugin within Ableton.

Spectrum analyzer on secondary monitor/computer
Hey guys, can you help me?
I would like to have a secondary monitor showing a live spectrum analyzer of the output from my DAW (Ableton on an iMac). I have spare monitors, spare desktops and spare laptops. I should be able to make good use of at least one of them. So what's the best solution?

Re: Syllabus for teaching Ableton to newbies?
Thanks for all the great tips guys! So from what I've gathered here, I believe I'm gonna do it in shorter blocks with Q&A in between, that sounds like a good idea. I remember being in school myself (back in the stone age) and I hated when they asked me to keep the questions to the end. I'll also...

Re: Syllabus for teaching Ableton to newbies?
Those are great tips, thank you very much. However, this class would be only about the music production side of Ableton Live.

Syllabus for teaching Ableton to newbies?
So I've been asked by a music production association in my home town if I could possibly host a 2h introductionary class in how to use Ableton to produce music. I know just about everything there is to know about Ableton, but I've hardly ever tried to teach anyone how to get started (well, except re...

Re: Axiom Pro (49) questions
Thanks for the tip, but didn't work. Right now I'm even stuck on trying to assign anything to any knob. I fail miserable. I've read the whole manual twice now, and nowhere can I find any info on how you assign knobs to anything in any vst... Tried for an hour now to get a knob to control the Cutoff ...

Axiom Pro (49) questions
I feel so stupid. I've read the quick guide, the user guide and the guide specifically for Axiom use with Live. And I still don't understand a thing. This HyperControl software is far from obvious. I might need some more time to wrap my stupid brain around this piece of software, but a few question ...
