I would like to bump this. (2) kills me when I want to use Lemur. Not to be able to save midi mappings for AUs/VSTs in a device rack is ridiculous. Come on Ableton, lack of support for this is antediluvian!

I'm on my fifth mac and I'm afraid the bad news is that upgrading your computer from the OS X version it came with to a newer version results in worse performance, without fail.

Restore your original OS X version if you can.

I had a similar problem but managed to find a fix. The problem seemed to have something to do with my default template which included M4L devices. Live opened fine in 9.2 before I set its preferences to point at M4L 7. After I set it to M4L 7 Live would just crash. The fix was to delete the default...

You need to go into the preferences and point Live at the Max 7 executable rather than Max 6.

Max is crashing Live (64) on load for me (OS X 10.8.5).

I haven't tried any previous version of Max 7, but the standalone runs fine. However, it (7.0.4) crashes both 9.2 and 9.1.10 on loading any device.

It will be interesting to see if the management knows the difference between the words 'unforeseeable' and 'unforeseen' when a marketing statement about 'unprecedented demand' is dressed up as an apology about the servers and the webshop later in the day.
