Re: Issue With ALL Instruments + Video

This does not happen to me or any of my friend using Ableton. The fact that this happens with Massive seems to imply that its not Ableton centric. My guess, based on the behavior, is that its either related to your RAM or hard drive. Where is your MIDI device plugged into? Your soundcard or USB? If s...

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta soon...

I really like the concept of arrange vs mixer "clip launching", and this is something I didn't even know I wanted until I saw it.

I also like how you can tile the clip matrix with arrange at the same time.

Re: Why is ableton working on yet another beta that is 32bit?

I'm beginning to believe 64 bit is becoming a bloated term like "4G Network"

I'm not even sure if people know what it is, but feel they need to have it because other products are advertising it.

Re: Idiot Level questions?

acerf, I might understand your issue. It may be related to a button called "back to arrangement" The button is to the right of where it says "OVR" and left of the number of bars per launch quantization. It looks likes an icon for session view with a small arrow pointing at the se...

Re: Idiot Level questions?

So is the problem that you want to see the playhead in the clip view move as it's playing within an arrangement in real time?

Re: turn down hi hats on a drum wav file?

You can also do this if you can isolate the hi hat via the way it looks in a "spectral editor" such as the one in Adobe Audition. You'd have to lasso each hat then bring the amplitude down.

I personally have no experience doing this, I just am aware of the technique.

Re: help with sampler please?

OK. I'm reasonably new to Ableton. Using a PC, in sampler, I can create and crop a sample of 4 or 8 bars and play the loop by pressing the A key, but does anyone know how i can use this part as i would use an audio file so it loops itself and can be speeded up and down so it would fit exactly with ...

Re: Some mixing terminology and technique question

I've heard a lot of terms used that I am unsure of what they mean. "bouncing down" in general, "bouncing down to audio", "rendering stems"...can anyone help me understand what these mean/why this is done when doing the final mix/master of a track (or when these terms a...

Re: Drum Rack / Samples missing

Usually Ableton will auto find my missing samples and correct them, however I notice they can get confused if they find the same sample in two different locations. In that instance, you have to go into the file manager and manually pick which one to use (although at that point, it most likely doesn'...
