Re: [PUSH] Send program change for external Instr.
I can't wrap my head around how my decade old Novation SL will do program changes, but my my Push 2 will not. Such an unbelievable oversight.

Re: Mapping BCR2000 Buttons to Live 8 on 10.6.8
GRM Freeze is doing the same thing on a physically different BCR. So it seems to be a Live issue.
I am using both Dubstation and GRM Freeze as VSTs..
Any ideas?
Thanks

Mapping BCR2000 Buttons to Live 8 on 10.6.8
Hey guys, I've done this successfully in the past, but it is giving me trouble now. The button control assignments from the BCR to Dubstation are getting stuck on. This seems to have something to do with the state of the plugs buttons (on or off) when assigned. But I am not sure. Specifically, I am ...

Re: Just bought Max for Live, where should I start?
Don't get me wrong Juan, I appreciate you guys recommending these videos, and I can tell how useful they will be for me once I know what I am doing... I'll keep hammering away at Live's built in tutorials, then move onto the MaxMSP tutorials... I know this will be a very handy tool once I am comfort...

Re: Just bought Max for Live, where should I start?
Oh man, I just watched those Max4liveinfo videos that you suggested Juan, those videos perfectly exemplify why I have avoided Max for years! Very informative, and thank you again for suggesting those. I hope someday soon to be able to glean info I can use from them. But boy, is that ever diving in t...

Re: Just bought Max for Live, where should I start?
Thanks for all of the replies. All very good advice. Truth be told, I've intentionally avoided MaxMSP in the past because of the learning curve. I'd rather be making music than making tools to make music with. But I like how Ableton rolled Max into Live, and I also like the idea of being able to mak...

Thanks Juan.
I plan to do just that. Also poking around at Maxforlive.com and downloading some devices.
Not the instant gratification that I'd hoped for, but I see the potential here...

Just bought Max for Live, where should I start?
Hey there, I just bought Max for LIve, and am not sure where to start with it... I bought it because I like the idea of building my own devices and using devices others have built. But I am a little daunted by it. What should I try/download/read/watch to get me up and running? I plan on going throug...

Good call Scudman. And nice to meet you guys. Good to talk shop with fellow Live users. Very different from past meetups in a good way.
Thanks Catfish for pulling that together. I look forward to the next one.

Re: Track cannot be frozen due to MIDI routing?
Ah,did not even think about the side chaining... good call. But unfortunately, none going on in this track. Could not find any other midi ins or outs pertaining to this track. I suspect I am missing something. I'll double check things. I just did "resampling" to another track and turned of...

Track cannot be frozen due to MIDI routing?
Hey gang, I've not run into this before, but I have an instrument track that is refusing to freeze. When I attempt to freeze, I get the following message: "The Track "Massive Rack" :D cannot be frozen beacuase of the routing "3-MID | Midi In." The :D is not actually in the e...

Re: Automap 3.5 with Live 8.1.5 Remote SL Connected (offline)
Thanks for the clarification and feedback guys... Reloading SL OS is a good suggestion and much more reasonable than Mac OS :D Upon further investigation, some plugs are mapping themselves while others are not... I think it has to do with the "configure" tab that appears in the generic Liv...

Re: Automap 3.5 with Live 8.1.5 Remote SL Connected (offline)
Thanks for checking back twisted. Live is set up correctly. The SL does not require drivers that I am aware of on the Mac. Automap has been reinstalled. I could be wrong, but I doubt reinstalling the OS is the fix... I prefer to explore other solutions before going down that road. Good to know that ...
