Looping control & cueing

Easier looping controls for switching between loop sizes at the touch of a button.

Also setting cue points along the waveform and having them midi mappable would be good.

Re: not showing the track the track that is playing

I would love this to be resolved too.

I think showing the details of the clip playing in the selected track would be a great help. Particularly for DJing.

Even if it was just a option.

Re: AKAI APC 40 Question

I agree. An option to see the details of any playing clip while selecting tracks would be good.

APC40 available

Just seen this... http://www.djstore.com/item/akaapc40.htm (It says they are in stock which obviously won't last, so apologies if it's now changed) I got mine from here and I can't praise them enough. Ok, I had mine on order from announcement (don't hate me) but got it delivered a day before release...

Re: Can I use 'scene launch' as 'scene select' on apc40?

I've found that when I'm mixing 2 songs using session view - I want to view their waveforms and clip info - I like to move between the two songs quickly. I can do this easily when they're on the same scene by using track selector. However when they're in different scenes, I find it annoying selectin...

Can I use 'scene launch' as 'scene select' on apc40?

So it works like the track select buttons at the bottom. Instead of playing the scenes, it will just select them. So I can jump from scene 1, to scene 4 by hitting one button instead of using a knob.

Any help appreciated.

Re: APC 40 question

I haven't had any problems with mine.

I'm surprised someone is selling it already considering how sought after they appear to be. Perhaps the 'buzz' was their reason for selling. In which case it's probably faulty.

Replied on your other thread. But, yeah - I have found the same problem with EQ8 too.

Re: Harmonic mixing chart tailored for Live

Oh and one more thing. I don't see this as learning something new. It's merely a way to use colour to reference musical notes. It works for me as I naturally see what colours go together. I'm not saying it works for everyone.

Just thought I'd share it in case others find it useful.

Re: Harmonic mixing chart tailored for Live

To Tone Deft, Not a problem. I'm still fairly new to all this. I thought the Camelot System was pretty good, but then - as I say - I'm still in learning mode so it may be a bit crap to someone with more experience. I find it useful for mixing, but perhaps I won't whenit comes to writing my own music...

Re: Harmonic mixing chart tailored for Live

Yep. It's a chart originally created by www.harmonic-mixing.com and is called the 'Camelot System'. Go on to the site and read about it. It's really aimed at DJs to enable them to mix songs which work together. They have a chart on their site and also some great software which will tell you what the...

Re: Harmonic mixing chart tailored for Live

'Developed' as in - tailored the colours for Live. Nothing more. I'm not trying to claim I created harmonic mixing or have designed the chart from scratch. I haven't. That is way beyond me. If you want to see more about harmonic mixing then go to www.harmonic-mixing.com Just thought it'd make sense ...
