Re: Edit MIDI notes - make every note same but keeping velocity?

fantastic find. I've created the most over the top midi racks to accomplish this. So much easier this way.

Re: Many, many, many VST drum kits in one Liveset causing trouble.

yeah trace, i have the same problem with a recent template idea: storing all my fav patches in a CHAIN. It gets too unweildy i think. I got this gig playing top 40 stuff and I was making chain patches for EACH song (160) and by 40 or so the computer just couldn't hold it all. It seems that even thou...

Launchpad/APC40: Sizable 'view grid' resolution (rectangle)

Allow Live's "red box" (that indicates what the launchpad is looking at) to be sizable! If you could shrink the resolution of the grid (in my case to 8x2- instead of 8x8) the unused launch pad buttons could become user mode buttons- or maybe they default to whatever they are setup for in u...

Re: Launchpad- making a Combinination of Session View&User Mode

If this does turn out to be a limitation of the launchpad and just a wishlist item- I think i may have come up with an elegant solution: Allow Live's "red box" (that indicates what the launchpad is looking at) to be sizable! If you shrink the resolution of the grid (in my case to 16x2) the...

Launchpad- making a Combinination of Session View&User Mode

For what I do on live I can get away with just 2 rows of session feedback (ie I only need to know the statuses of clip slots in the first 2 rows- the top 16 buttons). The rest of the buttons I would like to use as status indicators of various effects (ie lights toggling on/off to indicate whether an...

fully annotated video of improvised live looping

(repost from the tips and tricks board) hey guys. I made a video of myself performing an improv jam of me live looping (no canned loops). It's fully annotated- describing step by step all the moves I'm making. Maybe it's of some value to somebody. Check it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlhkN9...

Re: Scroll Wheel Zoom - For the love of GOD! Please.............

better zooming options for sure. But the mouse scroll? I like when zooms are controlled by pressing a key modifyer while dragging a box to define the desired zoomed area. if the 'box' held the dimensions of the screen while dragging, etc.

Essential Real-Time Looping Configuration

When using Live as a realtime looping station this is a convenient setup: Creat a track whose input is the external signal. Disarm the track but set the 'Monitor' status to 'ON'. Put various plugins on this track and set a pedal board to turn them on and off. (chorus, delay, etc.). Call this track G...
