Hi all. I will for sure buy one of these Ableton controllers, (not decided which one ...yet) but i wonder how they work with other midi programs. Are there any drivers needed, or are they plug and play ? Does any of these controllers appear as a generic usb-midi device (without drivers)? Eg. for the...

I can't find scrub shortcuts (or midi mappable) for the arrange view.
Is this possible ?

I wonder if the mpd 24's 8 rotary knobs can work the same way as the Apc 40 ones. (or mackie control) I mean : select a track and then control parameters for that track (effects,instruments, pans etc) If yes is it the default behaviour or needs programming ? I don't have this controller so any input...

Hello all.
Ok, let's say you set a midi map for the slots in session view.
If you move a clip then its midi mapping is moved too, to the new slot.
Is there a way to have a permanent / fixed midi mapping ?

it's been brought up a few times here (have a search for alias or ghost clips). there was a response from ableton acknowledging this, so hopefully we'll see it sometime soon. Hopefully they can come up with a way to use this feature between session and arrange clips - that would be a great improvem...
