Thanks for the quick reply. Sounds good. The Kross has midi out.

"I think you're kinda going about it the wrong way." Hmmm.
Actually you don't have any basis for saying what is the right or wrong way for me to do what I want. The fact is I don't want to do it the way you are ...

hardware synth control of Ableton for midi
Here is what I am trying to do:
I create a loop on a hardware synth like the Korg Kross. I then start it looping. For example I create the notes c,e,f,g and loop them continuously on the Korg Kross. I want to then send the midi stream of that loop into Ableton. In Ableton I want to see the ...

Re: import charges to Canada for boxed set
Have you done this? What was the tax? Was there a cross-border shipping customs clearance charge as well?

Re: import charges to Canada for boxed set
I am a current owner of Ableton and there was special upgrade pricing if I ordered on-line by such and such a date. Then the choice was digital download or box set. Box set gets shipped into Canada. So I still need to know if anybody has ever done this and what the import costs would be.

import charges to Canada for boxed set
I am thinking of purchasing Live 9 studio version. Has anybody out there purchased the boxed set and had it shipped to Canada? If so what charges, if any, were added on for importing?

Re: changing default live pack search path
On the wrong track here. There's two choices at the place I mentioned - the ableton web site you're referring to is one choice; it's the other choice I am talking about that refers to the Live Application folder on the computer that I transcribed earlier. Is there no way I can remap that?

Re: changing default live pack search path
My library path has been modified. The search feature I'm talking about is when you go into Preferences, Live Packs, Search for Live Packs,Search - there it says Search the Live application folder for standard Live Packs that have not yet been installed. Can I change that search path?

changing default live pack search path
Is there any way in XP to change the default Live Pack search path? Right now my search path is pointed to the application folder. I would prefer not to have the Live Packs there.
