yep the best is actually getting neutrik connectors and klotz cable and soldering it yourself.
Depends on how good your soldering is...

Re: native control for behringer fcb1010

I used to own an FCB1010 and I found the yahoo user group very useful for tips and tricks. There is also a piece of cheap software called iFCB on the web which is very handy. Ultimately I sold the FCB1010 because it didn't work for me in a creative sense, (too many buttons for a footswitch, two is f...

Re: Orbital's Gear List

Thats an old picture. They have slimmed the kit list down for touring since their comeback gigs last summer. See MusicTech Focus Ableton Live Special for more details.

Re: Share Live Set Feature?

One thing I would say is the recent experiences at the launch of the London User Group probably pave the way to much more meaningful real sharing of ideas and ideologies than any sort of glorified file exchange can. Not dissing the concept of Share, just saying that sometimes these things need a bit...

Re: Share Live Set Feature?

I was signed up to it until I upgraded from v7 to v8 and now I can't access the feature, for I am not registered to the Beta even though I was in the halcyon v7 days. I think it only ever got to the Beta stage, which is a real shame; it seemed like a really good idea. Seem to remember some official ...

Re: My landlord hates my bicycle. Legal help, please.

If the situation doesn't resolve and you are forced to keep your trusty steed inside, then how about investing in a bike hook which you mount to the wall? They save loads of space as the bike hangs by its front wheel and they are really cheap.

I feel sorry for you, I hate stuff like this.

I just listened to Oversteps while doing my household chores, and it made them more interesting. I really like this one by Autechre, it stands out.

Big Up London! That is Ableton LUG.

Hey everyone,

Having filled me belly with a West Cornwall Pasty after a few bevvies, just wanting to say what a pleasure to meet you all, plus looking forward to future hook ups. Real nice to have Apple on side too eh?

Cheers,

Re: Minimal gong

Its got Xmas Number One written all over it mate! No, seriously, I quite like it. I believe Thomas Köner did a whole load of stuff (His album Teimo?) with processed gong noises, but I'm pretty sure he didn't use Ableton ;) You might also quite fancy a track called One String on Dani Siciliano's albu...

Re: Pop when switching 'Back to Arrangement' button

Hmm this don't look good. I think I've always had this problem on Live 8 no matter which version, and I'm currently on 8.1.1. Seems daft, almost like it defeats the whole point of the software. That is, you could have a whole song arranged, take it off somewhere new (or indeed do the jazz thing and ...

Pop when switching 'Back to Arrangement' button

Does anyone else experience a bit of a pop, or a glitch, when they have deviated from the arrangement and they click the 'back to arrangement'? I do, pretty much every time. If anyone else has had this problem, did you work out how to avoid it?

Cheers in advance.

Re: "What would Henke do?"

How many Henke's does it take to change a light bulb?

Only one, but he needs sixty four arranged in a fully automated grid each with a MIDI CC dimmer hooked up to it.

Oh and also housed in helium balloons where possible.

Re: Need a low priced Mic, advice welcome!

The problem with renting mics is always that nasty mouth diseases that you can catch from someone else's germs. But no worries, as musicians tend to be very clean and never partake in any vulgar activity. At the risk of being a total nerd, its very few mics you actually get that close too, particul...
