The problem is Ableton states that the fact that deactivated notes become activated is by design so it is not a bug to them. They designed this for the (imo) strange user case that if you have disabled all the notes of a particular pad, and you extract that chain, the extracted chain would not make ...

Ok this is an old thread. Just wanted to add that you cannot select separate outputs of multi channel instruments (e.g. microtonic).

This is not possible. The drum machines are not recognised as multi timbral (multi midi input) instruments. You cannot route Ableton's external instrument to the cloud drum machines. Ah ok now i see. So then this is a feature request. Please make an drum rack inside an instrument rack accessible from push 2 (meaning from the mix page).
A workaround is to ungroup the instrument rack (but lose the macros which are great)

The beat tools expansion is great. Only i cannot adjust the separate drum sound volumes from push. Normally you can expand the drum rack and adjust the mix of the separate sounds. Only beat tools does not let me expand the drum rack. It is somehow 'double nested'. I hope i make myself clear..
