I kind of think it depends on what kind of tracks you're using the delay on. 'Rhythmic/Analog Tape Delay' works great for guitar, horns, and if you want to put an emphasis on some skank rhythms. For drums I like to duplicate the drum track and run the second track with a reverb setting and set it's ...

I'm in this exact same boat right now. He's not able to get PT to recognize it. My buddy mentioned something about bit rates. Does that make a difference. I'm using Live 7. I exported as a wav at 32 bit. Does the aif/wav thing make a difference. We're both on macs?
