thanks everyone for adding your opinions. it helps. although getting an ibook is so much cheaper. at the same time, i always feel like if you're going to shell out the money you might as well drop a couple hundred more and go for something that will in the long run give you more options and power ...

even the "genius'" at the apple store looked at me with a dumbfounded look with this question.

i want to use live 4 or 5 on stage to incorporate loops/beats and sequences into a live performance with a band. but which apple laptop? the iBOOK or the POWERBOOK? i doubt i will be composing or doing ...

can anyone recommend a good site where i could post live/garageband songs that have been broken down into loops for people to play with and remix if they were interested for possible a possible single/remix release? thanks, always a blast to hear what other people can and would do with your songs ...

i hear you on that one. i had been using live but had to revert back to DP 4.5 for a score i'm doing and i'm miserable and i miss my dear ol' live. someday we'll have video...until then...we suffer....man i hate DP 4.5....still, live 5 is rocking my world....

thanks! i'm currently drooling over live 5 so forgive me if i check in and out of consciousness. what's funny about recording the whole album with live was that i was just trying out live and i thought it made a really cool songwriting/idea tool, i got so caught up in it that suddenly i was using it ...

i feel like i'm the first person to make an entire rock (not remix looped, even though there is some of that...) record with LIVE. 100% LIVE 4.1. am i? i think this is the best program ever, not sure i could have done this without LIVE....
