True, logic has hands down the best implementation of this that I've used personally. If live could implement this then it'd certainly remove one of the reasons for keeping logic on my hard drive...

Re: The Maschine & Ableton Love Thread ;) [upon user request]

Hmmm, think the culprit might be maschine here when it operates as a standalone, when I try the same once I red line maschines output, as in the top right hand I can't get anymore volume out of maschine. Pushing it harder just increases the amount of distortion, which sort of makes sense as I assume...

Re: The Maschine & Ableton Love Thread ;) [upon user request]

thanks jake, ok here's a bit more info to clarify the scenario: a friend of mine is considering switching from akai mpc to NI mascine -> daw sequencing. in his setup, it would be to run DFH superior (FYI, its a multilayered drum sample plugin) as a VST / AU instrument (in either Live or Logic). he ...

Re: The Maschine & Ableton Love Thread ;) [upon user request]

ok one question for u maschine users: is it possible to send the midi out from maschine's internal sequencer to another VST/au instrument? this would be in real-time, not dragging the midi sequence onto DAW... thanks, j Yep this can be done. Personally I run maschine as a standalone then have 16 ch...

Re: Apogee One Feedback Anyone ?!

I'm sold especially since they're going for $199 on Ebay. My old FA-66 crackles at anything under 512 samples :( Is there any creative ways to get a cue mix for my very occasional DJ gigs? Through a small mixer? Maybe through IAC bus and the laptop headphone out? You can always got the aggregate au...

Re: good base sounds for hip hop (jay dilla style)

You could use ableton itself if you want time stretched samples given that this is essentially what ableton does... Just sample the note you want as an audio clip in live. Warp the clip and put it into complex pro mode. Then adjust the volume envelope to taste and use an unlinked transpose envelope ...

Re: MASCHINE Help needed (audio rendering)

Go to export audio (under the file menu on a mac, guess it'd be the same on PC?) and tick loop optimize. That should solve your problems.

Re: The Maschine & Ableton Love Thread ;) [upon user request]

are you sure, I'm pretty sure that deliscios repsonse meant that it was possible? Not sure if this is directed at me, but I've realised that my response to timothy is actually a little unclear. You can record midi out of maschine, but with the caveat that you lose maschine's internal sounds and nee...

Re: The Maschine & Ableton Love Thread ;) [upon user request]

can you use the xox sequencer to record straight into live/logic and have it play back from the recorded region? That would be one way to get the xox feature, and use groove templates as well. Do you want to record midi or audio? Midi can't be recorded (yet), but you can drag and drop midi patterns...

Re: The Maschine & Ableton Love Thread ;) [upon user request]

Hi Jake, when I asked about the resampling function, I meant if it was possible to route a track output of Live into the sample input of Maschine. The goal is to somehow transfer audio from Live's clips into Maschine. It would be great if you could check that out. Yep, you can do that as well. Only...

Re: The Maschine & Ableton Love Thread ;) [upon user request]

Of course. Maschine's sampling/resampling capabilities are far superior to Live. You can even automate it so that it starts resampling at the top of the next bar, stop recording after the number of bars you specify, in sync with the tempo, so that it makes a clean cut loop, and have it kick in at t...

[quote]I want to know how to make it so that the output of Track 1 is not heard in Track 2's output ever, but Track 2 can still record the output of Track 1/quote] Ok you could use resampling to do this: Track 1 should be audio to master and the master's audio to should be set to ext 1 Track 2 shoul...

edit: it's sync'ing, i believe i need to hook up a "song position" module properly, so it's starts the step seq from scratch every time. I found the module but am not sure where to plug it in hmmm.. not sure if/how that could be fixed.. I think I remember some talk about this on the Reator forum.. ...

Re: Novation Nocturn Keyboard...What Were they thinking??

Pretty sure its targeted more as a 'my first midi controler' type thing for beginners and what not. The SL series is very nice, but the pricepoint is arguably prohibitive for people just starting out. Yeah, but what about Remote SL Compact? It was replaced by the nocturn series but I can't figure o...
