wow. the entire Suite is too much if its just 60 more? :?



Dear Ableton, i will buy it from you as long as you're screwing yourselves in error, but at a fair price, as advertised, i'd rather not.

Agreed. I had it in my cart for $116, and now it's $173, which is a bit too much for me to bite...

I think it is the worst one yet for me. Crashes every 5 minutes. Just now, I touched the pan control for one of the tracks while it was playing, and it crashed (it also crashed when I opened the session). Earlier, it crashed when I tried to slice a Rex loop to a new MIDI track on a brand new session ...

I wouldn't know, because Live 8 crashes every time I try to load Battery.

I think you will be able to authorize the demo with your serial.

Then you'll update files with DVD's from the box you are going to receive.

I guess it's the way it's meant to work.

Maybe ask to the customer care to be sure

I'm curious to know when the proof of academic status comes into play. i.e. do I provide it when I place the order, or is the check done on Ableton's side, when I go to install & authorize it ...

I'm in the same boat. My job is super boring, but is one where I have to pretend like I'm busy (also an AV job, by the way). Strong firewall, so internet usage is pretty limited, and I can't have my laptop up, so no music time...

NI Audio Kontrol 1. It is so incredibly tiny, and works flawlessly all the time... at least for me, it does. 2 sets of stereo I/O, 1x1 MIDI interface.

I think it's horribly overpriced. The only way to get it for a reasonable price is to buy at a student discount, which can be tricky if you're not a student. I recently turned a friend onto Live, and I made sure to sell him before I told him how much it cost.
